That superman one had my mouth watering!! That is just awesome!! My son is 4 and he is really into superman now. I'm going to print that out and give it to him. (i love it when they are young and something as trivial as that means so much!)

I knew Turner did a lot of Marvel covers, I had no idea he had done so much DC work too, until folks at the Hype posted some of his stuff. That is a nice picture. My complaint? Cancer sucks. I've known a few people now who have died from it including both of my parents. It's not a pleasant way to go.

Here's a complaint: My husband owns a Playstation3. If you want to go online with it, they force you to do their updates or they won't let you log on. Yesterday they made him do an update and then his Ps3 promptly crashed. Lovely. They finally figured out that there was a problem with the update and yanked it, now he has to wait and see if they are going to offer him some kind of solution. He's afraid that he will have to remove the harddrive and format it, or Sony will provide a patch that will have to be installed via USB as ...heh... his machine goes no further than the opening logo. It doesn't even recognize the handles or anything. His biggest fear? That all his saved games will be GONE. He played all the way through Tiger Woods golf and had awesome stats there and he was halfway through his baseball game, too. Mega time invested and all that is probably gone. This from an update they FORCED him to make. Sigh....

Sony is famous for that! I bought a "Sony Original" with out knowing it and what they did was make EVERY part specifically for that PC, no other parts would work with it. mouse, keyboard, monitor.. ALL of it. So if my keyboard or mouse got busted I had to pay big bucks for replacements. I was so angry when I found that out. They didn't tell me that when I got it. now I use a nice Dell pc and have no problems with mixing and matching stuff.

You must have a newer Dell. My brother in law had one when they first started making PCs. Their parts were exclusive for a while too. Whenever he wanted to upgrade it was such a pain in the butt. Glad to know it isn't like that anymore.

Yeah mine is a few years old now but still on the upper end of the spectrum. I hate what companies do that. Not only do they sell us the product, they try to suck everything they can out of us. Vampires!

Here's a complaint: THE DAMN GAS PRICES!!!!!!! This is REALLY SERIOUSLY bringing down the world's economy and its pissing me off! And I know the gas prices will continue to go up for quite some time... Or at least until there's an economic, social and political world crash...

Yup, the gas prices do suck. It is definately changing the way I do things and where I go for stuff, but maybe that's not such a bad thing. It's forcing us Americans o do what we probably should have been doing all long -- conserve. My next car will be a hybrid or something like one.

I spend about 60bucks to fill up my car and I have a Mazda Demio... Mazda 2 for those of you that know it.. its a super small car. It does suck. Especially because in a couple years I hope to get a new car (RX8 if I can) but with the gas prices, that may never happen... another broken dream:(
I agree with Squeek though.. there is some good that can come of this. In Japan we bike to work on nice days. Sure its not as easy, but its healthier and saves on gas. Many of my American friends complain that their jobs are too far away and I can understand that, but then you can always use public transportation or like squeek said, get a hybrid or something like that.
The biggest problem is people will say "I shouldn't have to..." and ok.. thats a fair argument, but the only retort is, "ok, find you don't HAVE to, but thats your choice so stop complaining about the gas prices." I know thats rough though. I hate it too and sure I complain like everyone, but in the long run something has to change.. which is more likely? The prices to drop or us to conserve in some way?

I don't think the gas prices are going to drop anytime soon, not here in the US anyhow. We are being forced to conserve and find alternatives. I just get mad because somehow I think the big oil companies are just laughing at us, just laughing away......

I know what you mean. I doubt thats the situation though. I mean its a world wide problem, not just the US.. if it were just the US, then I would be worried about the companies having an evil hand in things.

I thought that the rising gas prices were mostly in the US. Is that not true?

The government isn't helping matters at all. Oil company's are not allowed to drill new holes and they can't even look for new places to drill. And the people won't help matters either. The government was paranoid about another big oil break spilling all over the place and destroying the environment even though we have technology today to prevent that from happening. And all it will take is the government and media telling people "Be afraid" and the people will be afraid like the sheep they are.

The problem with oil is that it IS dirty. You have to be very careful how and where you process and move it and even though most times the companies are careful, accidents still happen. It sure would be nice if we could come up with a fuel that was always clean and never polluted, no matter what.

Most people tend to think that problems like this are only in their own country because they are the ones effected, but oil and gas, is a global issue that not one government can be blamed for.
Prices are on the rise all over, and the US is still one of the cheapest places to buy it. THAT is also something most Americans can not fathom. I remember a visiting lecturer from France once saying that he had no idea why Americans complained, with the prices being so cheap.
Perhaps its also because in other countries people tend to be more conservative with out being forced into it, where Americans and many other places in the world have come to take too many things for granted.
