It's so bad to us, we want to leave the country. We've since turned in the 3 houses that are violating rules with their bikes and dogs. Maybe something will be done. But who knows. Another complaint: Being an avid fanfiction reader (and sometimes writer!) I like leaving CONSTRUCTIVE reviews for people. It's the best kind of a review one can get and I wish I got more of them. But I hate it when I leave a review that's BOTH complimentary and constructive and the writer gets pissy. Like wtf? I tried being nice and telling you what you need to work on to make you a BETTER writer. YOU asked for a review and I gave you one...I didn't blow sun shine up your butt and tell you what a great job you did regardless of the insane number of grammatical errors laced throughout your story. I left one review one time...okay, I admit, it was obnoxious and very snarky, and the writer PM'd me reaming me for the review. I may have partially deserved it for being a brat...but hey, you put your stuff out there, be prepared to get pooped on. She then posted a "retort" to my review for all her teeny bopper fans to enjoy. If you're going to take a completely established character and turn him into an out-of-character dunce, I have every right to say you're wrong.

I've only really gotten flamed once at the fanfic.net site for my story being a tad slashy (I don't have any X on X or anything like that. One of my own characters is sorta bi). She called me a perv and all that. Later she said her sister had hijacked her login and posted that. I don't know if it was true or not, but it still sucked. Fortunately it was an anonymous review which I can delete if I choose. Most of my reviews have been constructive -- had one person say I had too many of my own people in there. I don't delete those, they were worded nicely enough and all that. Nor do I lash back, I mean, everyone is entitled to their opinion and hey, not everyone has to like my stuff. It sucks that that person just didn't get it.

Yikes, I don't even really read fanfics because of time.. I have so many real comics to read and then my tv shows.. and of course my family. You would think that ppl would be happy to get constructive criticism. I guess some people don't like to hear negative things at all. I try to make it a point.. and sometime fail to do this.. but I like to give two positives for every one negative. Sometimes when I get frustrated with students I don't do that, but I really want to try and get back to that.

So my weekly schedule usually has me finish work at 430 on monday, 230 on tuesday and 1030am on wed and thurs. Sounds great right? It is... but then last week I had a meeting on monday from 430pm which sucks but there is no wait so I guess its ok. Tuesday I finish at 230 but had a meeting from 430-530. Wednesday I finish at 1030am but had a meeting at noon, 130, and 430. I was exhausted last week.
This week seemed to be a bit better.. Monday and Tuesday so far no meetings. Wednesday I have three.. 1pm, 230pm and 430pm. I am NOT happy about that one, but meh... then last night at 10pm I get a phone call asking me to do a demonstration lesson at a high school about 2hour drive from here on Thursday afternoon. That is so annoying!! I finish at 1030.. i ususally love my thursdays because of that. BUT now I have a 2 hour drive to give a 50minute lesson then 2 hour drive back. I don't even know what to teach.. normally I have a semester to plan for and goals for the class, its a building process. these stupid demo classes are PR stunts to drum up business for the school.
So I guess my complaint is stupid stuff at work. I love my job as in teaching the classes. But I hate the endless meaningless meetings. And I also hate disruptions in my schedule.
Sort of silly rant as I am just happy to have work at all..I know.. but still.. sometimes you need to vent;)

I too am a creature of habit and I don't like my normal patterns disrupted. I can see no reason not to complain about a four hour commute to teach a 50 minute lesson. It hardly seems worth it unless you have other business that way. Just think of the gas you are using. Do you even get compensated for that?

Luckily I do get compensation.. and a little extra too. So for that I guess its ok, but still.. I finish on Thursdays at 1030am.. I look forward to that every week!! I go to the gym and am home by 1pm... its great. Now thats all messed up. lol Its exactly what you said though. I am a creature of habit. I hate when my routine is messed up. I mean it IS part of my job and I understand that, but still.
Today I hope to get out of here at 230.. that would be great. I am going to try and avoid others all day.
