Just came back from seeing this and -- Wow, just wow. This movie was everything I expected and other than being a tad long and busy was the second best movie of the year so far for me, on a par with Iron Man which blew me away. I can now see why everyone was saying that Heath's performance was Oscar worthy. It was just hype because we lost a brilliant young actor. The only crime here is that Heath is gone and can't follow up this stunning performance. It's almost a shame they didn't kill off the Joker because who could possibly follow what Heath has done? Loved it, loved it, can't wait to see it again!

I saw it last sunday. It was great!!! I dont know what they will do with the Joker in future sequels because I think no one can live up to what Ledger did. He was amazing, scary and creepy yet still funny. Im seeing it again soon.

The only complaint about the movie -- and it is very minor -- is that some folks simply don't like the gruff voice Bale uses when he is Batman. I guess some fiolks find it annoying. I don't. It's understandable that he may need to disguise his voice when he is around people who know both as Wayne and as Batman.

Agreed, it makes sense. He cant go around talking with his normal voice, people will recognize it. And its the same when he's in his "Millionaire Bruce Wayne" disguise, he has to act like an idiot so people dont get suspicious. I know that if it were me, he would be my last guess at who the Batman is.

I heard that from a few people. I didn't mind the voice either for the very same reason. We has super hero fans probably think differently than other ppl I guess;)
