I just saw some pictures of Hugh Jackman and man he is getting HUGE!!! Its almost not natural how his body has changed over the years at his age. He has either got to have great DNA, a VERY strict regime with trainers and chef's to help him, or he is using... um... BANSHEE (from Ultimate X-Men) Anyway I am super psyched to see this movie every time I see a new picture of him at the beach with his family!! Watch X-Men again and compare his cage fighting scene to the beach pics and you'll see a huge difference.

I really do hope that he is not using steriods. I know he's getting paid teh big bucks, but you only have one body. I'd hate to see him get sick over it.

Same here. I hope he isn't too, and he probably isn't, but its shocking to see see the difference in his body. Its not impossible, but its extremely hard to do that after 25. More likely he is probably spending lots of money on personal trainers and dietitians. At least thats what I am hoping!

I KNOW!!! lol... Sometimes I wish I had joined the police or something and then SWAT or some other team that get paid to stay in shape. As a teacher I am on my feet a lot, but only standing and perhaps walking around a room. Other than that I am at my desk all day. After a long tiring day its a chore to work out sometimes. And my wife, God bless her, is a fair cook, but neither of us are dietitians.

What is the standard diet of the Japanese these days? Are you eating only meat and veggies?

We eat a variety of foods. We are pretty well balanced. All the veggies we get are fresh, and we mostly fish I guess... then chicken comes in 2nd in our house. We only eat red-meat once in a while.
Its a pretty healthy diet, with lower calories, but to build muscle you need lots of proteins and you should probably eat about 6times a day. I don't have the luxury to do that.. nor to most normal people.

LOL, I'd love to eat that much, but alas, I can't do it either or I'd be twice as heavy as I am now.

Hahaha... yeah the idea is to actually eat about the same about (maybe slightly more) than you would on a 3meal a day diet. So you would basically split the portions in half and eat when you wake say 7am, then at 10 and then 12 and then 3ish, then 7ish and then an hour or two before bed I guess. You would have to play with the times, but basically it gives your body a steady influx of energy to burn and protein to feed the muscles.
People looking to diet should do this as it really helps them to loose weight since no extra calories will be stored as fat and the metabolism stays high since the body constantly needs to burn the calories from the food you eat.
In Japan they have a saying HACHIBUNME It meas only eating until your 80% full, which is where you are when you are no longer hungry and not yet stuffed. This helps the body to avoid extra calories too.
Its too bad most younger Japanese aren't practicing that anymore though as they become more westernized.
