Yeah it does! I'm really looking forward to this movie this next May and I hope that FOX and Warner Bros' (I think) trial won't get too ugly and that we won't see the movie later than planned...

This does look cool. I am not familiar with the Watchmen, but would want to watch this!

I liked the book. Rorsharch is my favorite character, I like my heroes dark and damaged.

Yep he's awespme. Reminds me a lot of the Question from Justice League, which should be no surprise since Rorsharch was based on him. Actually, I read somewhere that all the heroes from Watchmen were based on other DC superheroes. Rorsharch on The Question (mask, suit, and a consipracy theorist), Silk Spectre on Black Canary (hand to hand fighter, name shared by mother and daughter), Nite Owl on Blue Beetle and obviously Batman (animal themed suit, gadgets, vehicle.....), Doctor Manhattan on Captain Atom I think and Im not sure about the Comedian.

Thats pretty cool. I don't know much about the Watchmen, but I'm sure I would have been making comparisons. Its only natural I guess.
Its pretty hard to come up with an original character now-a-days.

The Comedian reminds a lot of Wolverine, or what he could have been if he hadn't fought so hard to keep some of his humanity. They have walked down some of the same dark paths of war.

You are indeed correct. They were going to use the original characters. But opted to just create their own, probably to ensure they were all in character. Suppose I'll look it up. OK, after reading the Wiki entry on it. Not all of them are based on DC characters, but they are inspired by various characters. It's all here and here.
