Yup. Hellboy 2 and it got a decent review in my local paper. We plan to see it this weekend. I hope it's good and that you won't have to wait too long.

I hardly pay attention anymore since movies cost about 20bucks/ticket here. I will go see Iron Man and Hulk when they come out though Hulk comes out 8/1, and I already have plans with friends to go.

$20 a ticket? Yikes. Iron Man was worth the money, Hulk maybe a little less. I saw Hellboy and it was alright. If you liked the first one you'll like this one.

Yeah, so we hardly ever go to the movies. Its just too much.
My wife and I actually saw Jumper in the theater, and enjoyed it. It was the first time in a LONG time that we went. Its tough going with a little one around. Luckily he was in school and she and I both had off that day.

I didn't know you had a kid. Yeah, they hamper things quite a bit. I didn't get to be a regular movie goer until my daughter was about 12 or so. Then we could sneak her into certain pg-13s that didn't look too bad. Now that she is grown up, ratings aren't an issue anymore. Makes things so much easier.

Yeah I have a 4 year old son. The only times we get to go are during vacation times like the summer or spring (between semesters), because he usually still has school (kindergarten/day care) so we have time then. I get to go a little more often than my wife, because some colleagues from work will have outtings and occasionally they are to the movies.
Thank goodness for downloading now though. that and rentals. We watch movies at home weekly although recently we are watching Heroes season 1. Its out in Japan now so we rent those instead.

Heroes is still a great show. The seaon 2 is out on DVD here in August so I hope you don't have to wait too long to see that.

Luckily I have been able to watch them online, so I can keep up. Season one is split in to two volumes which is common here in Japan. I hate it. Volume 1 will be the first half of the season and cost as much as the entire season in the US. Volume 2 of season 1 comes out in the Autumn. Season 2 will probably follow 6 months or so after that. I think it will be on TV here first... I don't know the times and I think its on cable which we don't have out here. So yeah.. its a bit of a wait. Season 1 is enjoyable enough for now though.

Wow, it sucks that they split seaon 1 like that. Money grubbers.

Exactly how I feel. Basically I need to pay twice as much! Its crazy. But I almost don't mind this since I only buy DVDs for shows I really like.

I've stopped buying as many DVDs since I got the Netfix. It's not instantaneous or anything, but I can queue whatever I like pretty much so there's no need for me to buy everything I want. The TV shows I do buy. Just picked up season 3 of The Closer and season 1 of Saving Grace. Love that stuff.

I hadn't thought about it, but now that you mention it, I don't buy many movies anymore either. Just tv shows. I DO buy movies I really enjoy or want to support. Like I have all the X-Men movies, and actually two different versions of X3 (the US and Japanese versions). I also plan on buy Jumper.. it wasn't a great movie, but I did enjoy it and hope they make a second one so I support them. TV shows that I watch I always buy. TV and Comics are sort of the same for me. Those that I may read or watch but not enjoy that much I don't buy.. Those that I do, I do buy.

You'll like Iron Man enough to buy. I don't know a single person who didn't like it.

Nope, I will be seeing The Dark Knight though.
And the new job is going well also. Getting lots of bartending experience. And apparently I am doing a great job. Multiple people are thanking me and telling me I am doing good every day. And I'm getting lots of over time at the moment. And I plan on taking the OT every chance I get. Although it does get a bit tiresome when I am leaving at 3am somenights and after I eat shower and wash my clothes it's 6am and then I need to be to work at 2pm that afternoon.
